The Story Behind Our Why

Our story starts the way a lot of dog stories do, with two people who love dogs… and then end up with more than they ever planned.

When two dog lovers build a life together, there’s not much moderation. There’s just a house full of dogs, a lot of laughter, and a deep appreciation for what these animals bring into a home.

We fell in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog for all the reasons people do. They’re gentle, incredibly loving, intuitive, and deeply connected to their families.

But the real reason behind what we do now comes from...

Meet Our Girls

Honey and Hazel are a big part of our everyday life. They were chosen for their health, temperament, and structure, and they’re growing up right here in our home. One day they’ll become the mamas of our future litters, and we’d love for you to follow along and get to know them.

What Sets Us Apart

Advanced Health Testing (beyond minimum requirements)

At Blue Star Creek, we go beyond minimum health testing. Our dogs are fully screened for genetic and structural health, and we prioritize clear pairings to reduce inherited conditions. Every decision is made with long-term health and longevity in mind.

Orthopedic Standards (OFA hips rated Good or Excellent)

We plan to only breed dogs with OFA-rated Good or Excellent hips and evaluated elbows, prioritizing long-term soundness, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Thoughtful Pairings (temperament, structure, and longevity)

We carefully select each pairing with temperament, structure, and lineage in mind. Every decision is made to produce balanced, stable puppies, never based on convenience or timing.

Early Development Protocols (ENS + ESI from the start)

We plan incorporate early development protocols from the start, including Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction. For you, that means a puppy that transitions more easily, handles new environments with confidence, and settles into your home more smoothly.

Home-Raised Environment (raised in our home, not kennels)

Never raised in kennels, always raised in our home. Because how a puppy is raised matters just as much as how they’re bred, we focus on daily interaction, real-life exposure, and a foundation built on care and consistency.

Lifetime Support (support, guidance, and partnership)

Our relationship doesn’t end when your puppy goes home. We offer lifetime support, guidance, and partnership, so you always have a trusted resource for your dog’s care and well-being.
