How It Works
A Different Way to Bring Home One of Our Dogs
Guardian dogs live with you as your pet and are part of your everyday life. We retain breeding rights during their breeding years, and once they are retired, they are spayed or neutered and remain with you permanently. We believe this model allows our dogs to live full, loved lives in homes, while still allowing us to continue building a responsible, intentional breeding program.
What To Expect
-Your dog is placed with you as a family companion at little to no cost -We cover all breeding-related expenses, including health testing -You cover normal day-to-day care such as food, routine vet care, and general expenses -You’ll have the opportunity to stay connected during litters and be part of the process
Some of The Guardian Home Requirements
-Some Guardian Home Requirements: -Live within a reasonable distance for coordination -Have a securely fenced yard -Feed a high-quality diet and maintain appropriate preventative care -Use pregnancy-safe preventatives when applicable -Ensure dogs of the opposite sex in the home are spayed or neutered -Be comfortable staying in communication and working closely with us
Our Process
If you’re interested in becoming a Guardian Home, we start with a conversation. From there, we’ll schedule a Zoom call to get to know each other better, followed by a home visit if it feels like a good fit. We’re thoughtful about where our dogs are placed and take the time to make sure it’s the right match for everyone.
